Recruiting Letters
_
Dear,
We have identified you as an outstanding college basketball prospect. The intent of this letter is to express our sincere and genuine interest in you as a prospective student-athlete. We have built something very special at Arizona State University and we feel you can help us complete our process of becoming truly the best intercollegiate program in the country. Our desire is to honestly get to know you and your family. You are clearly one of the best and brightest... Your gifts, talents, and abilities are truly wanted and needed in the “Valley of the Sun.”
Arizona State University is located in Tempe, Arizona. Tempe has been selected as one of the top twenty cities in the nation to live and raise a family. It is a true college town, with Arizona State Athletics in the center of all the action. Our city is next door to Phoenix, which was named by the Sporting News as the fourth-best Sports City in the nation. The campus itself has a tremendous atmosphere and sports-oriented climate that includes 22 intercollegiate teams. We are a member of the "Conference of Champions", the PAC 10.
ASU has been awarded Research I status by the Carnegie Foundation. We are also named a Truman Scholarship Honor Institution, one of only 17 schools to be selected nationwide. We are very proud to be the gold standard for the New American University. Our student body comes from every state in the US and over 140 different nations. We offer 100 bachelor degree programs, 97 masters degree programs, and 53 doctorial programs. In short, ASU offers challenging academic programs, small classes, and personal attention from caring faculty that sets Arizona State apart from other schools of its size. Arizona State is the "University of choice." Our university is large enough to serve you, yet small enough to know you.
We are very enthusiastic about our university and our basketball program. We want to share that enthusiasm with you. Please look over the information enclosed and if time permits please checkout our web site www.asu.edu or www.thesundevils.com and explore the many wonders of ASU. We would like to wish you continued success in the classroom and on the basketball court. We are extremely excited about you and the relationship my staff and I hope to develop with you in the months to come.
Sincerely,
ASU Women's Basketball
